Our speakers will discuss what a Precinct Chair is and what their purpose and duties are.

The Friendswood Republican Women are excited once again to meet with members and friends!  AND remember, we'll be back at the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce for a delicious catered lunch!  Our Speakers this month will discuss what a Precinct Chair is and what in the world their purpose and duties are.  Do you know?  Do you know who your Precinct Chair is?  Why do we even have Precincts?  Early Voting will have already begun. Do you know who you are voting for...and most importantly WHY?  We elect people during the Primary who will run against the Democrat Candidate on November 6, 2018.  Let's elect the real Republicans, those people who will support our President and the conservative principles of our Party's Platform.  So, please join us on Thursday, February 22, from 11:15am-12:30pm for lunch!  The cost is $13 and RSVP's are a MUST, as the caterer needs a head count.  All attendees must purchase a lunch.  We are meeting at the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce, in the heart of Friendswood and we look forward to seeing you!  Please RSVP to Janis Lowe, 462 Precinct Chair, at janis@jlowerealtors.com.  Questions or comments?  Please call Deborah Winters Chaney, 460 Precinct Chair, at (281) 224-7800.  Our President, Kathy Rogers, is 456 Precinct Chair.  The Voters are well represented in our Club!  We look forward to seeing you and your friends!

Dr. Greg Bonnen will discuss last year's special session and what was accomplished, along with this years Republican Primary and the importance of VOTING.

The Friendswood Republican Women are excited to be meeting once again in the new year!  AND we'll be back at the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce for a delicious catered lunch!  Our Speaker this month will be, Dr. Greg Bonnen, a practicing physician, small businessman, and longtime resident of Galveston County, who elected to the Texas House of Representatives in November 2012.  Representative Bonnen has resided in Galveston County for more than twenty years since attending UTMB in 1988. After finishing his medical education with high honors, Representative Bonnen completed his residency in neurosurgery and served as assistant professor at UTMB before founding the Texas Brain and Spine Center. He also practices at Memorial Hermann Southeast.  In 2003, Representative Bonnen and his partners founded Houston Physician's Hospital and began treating patients there in 2005. He has served as chairman of the board since 2006. Today, the Hospital provides a variety of acute and specialty care to communities throughout Southeast Texas and employs over 200 area residents. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Heritage Bank.  He graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. During college, Representative Bonnen spent two summers working as a counselor at Texas Lion's Camp for handicapped children, which he credits with introducing him to both his profession as a doctor and his wife, Kim. He has continued to devote time to his church and different charitable organizations including 13 missions with Builders without Borders of Texas and the Medical Strategic Network, a faith-based organization. Representative Bonnen and his family have provided medical care and assisted with building schools and homes in Mexico and Panama. Representative Bonnen has also volunteered his time, service, and talent with missions in Haiti, Cuba, and the Philippines. He serves on the board and is the president of the Medical Strategic Network.  Representative Bonnen was appointed to the House Appropriations Committee and its subcommittee on Article II Health and Human Services for the 85th Legislative Session.
